Baskets, Food, and Fun (BFF): VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
   Chairs – Sharon Sanders (SharonSS@windstream.net), Linda Christian, Patti Hobbs

General Purpose – Extremely successful, annual WMS fundraiser to raise funding for new technology such as SMART Boards for the classrooms, document cameras, etc. and to subsidize funding for grade related arts programs. A huge night of activities, fantastic raffles, good food, and tons of fun for the students and the entire WMS community.

Duties: Work various shifts the night of the event
-Tickets/ taking tickets
-Working stations
-Serving food
-Set up
-Clean up

Building and Grounds Beautification: Volunteers Needed!
   Chair – Sanna Tucker

General Purpose – Improve and maintain the gardens near the front of the school.

Clothes Closet: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
   Chair - Deanna Donofrio (deannadonofrio@yahoo.com)
   Volunteers - Cheryl Maddox, Karen Krump

General purpose - Provide gently worn clothing to the student body when in need of appropriate attire during the school day.

Duties:
--Collect/wash clothing donations from the donation bin on a weekly basis ·
--Stock the closet area with a variety of sizes ·
--Work in conjunction with the school coordinator - Mrs. Wilder.

Time frame - Average of one to two hours per week throughout the entire school year.

Copy Committee: VOLUNTEERS needed!
   Chair – Shawn Jones (shawnljones@ymail.com)

General purpose – To help offset some of the copy duties of the teachers/staff.

Duties 
--Come in and make copies for staff on Tuesday and/or Thursday, from 8:30am- 10am

Do Dad – Program: MEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
   Chair - Sanna Tucker (sanna@tuckerfamily.com)

General purpose - When muscles, trucks, hauling, heavy lifting, set up and breakdown is needed for various events at school, we need all men in our student’s lives to step in and help.

Duties: ·
--Trucks needed to pick up tables/chairs from Wesley Fire house and other supplies pickups throughout the year ·
--Set up tents and general set up for various PTSO/school events throughout the year ·
--Baskets, Food and Fun, annual fundraiser in April

Timeframe – Year round. All Do Dads will be notified via email a couple of weeks prior to the need. Sign up by emailing Sanna Tucker at sanna@tuckerfamily.com .

Fundraising: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

General Purpose – To assist in contacting businesses and build relationships so WMS can benefit from much needed monetary/products sponsorships, and help with any fundraising programs throughout the year.

Duties:
--Call and/or visit businesses
--Communications 
--Counting proceeds 
--Distributing materials

School Store : VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

General Purpose – Provide students with school supplies/merchandise throughout the school year.

Duties:
Man the booth on Mon, Wed, & Fri

Teacher Appreciation Committee: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
   Chair – Terri Snipes (tsnipes@windstream.net) and Jill Szlinski (jszkl@yahoo.com)

General purpose – Plan events throughout the year to show the faculty and staff how much they are appreciated by the parents and students. Plan events for National Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Duties: ·
--Plan a winter breakfast and spring luncheon ·
--Provide monthly baked treats and surprises throughout the year ·
--“Fishing for Compliments” program- a name is drawn each month from a group of student and/or parent nominated teachers to receive a special gift provided by committee

7th Grade Dance: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO PLAN and CHAPERONE

NEW! This year the PTSO will hold a dance in the gym for the 7th grade.

Recycle Program: NEW!! Participation needed by entire school!
   Chair – Sanna Tucker (sanna@tuckerfamily.com)

General purpose - This year we have added Terracycle program and are collecting Frito Lay brand empty chip bags, and Ziploc brand container and bags (used). Items can be dropped off at school.

Duties – We ask the entire school community to collect and send into the school so this committee can collect “Free Money” for WMS. Thank you!

Box Tops & Labels: Participation needed by entire school!
   Chair - Torrie Newman (torrie@newmansplace.com)

General purpose - Collect Box Tops and Campbell’s and Tyson UPC’s for the school. Box Tops and Tyson are cash earning programs and Campbell’s is a point system for items in a catalog. This program earns cash and awards for WMS.

Duties:
--Each company has a method they want to receive them so we box them up according to the company and send them out.
--Check out www.btfe.com for coupons for Box Tops products!
--Each month we have a drawing for a prize (they change depending on availability) for those students and staff that have put Box Tops in the collection box in the office with their name and homeroom teacher.
