Carnival Booths

BFF 2023

WHAT IS BFF?

BFF is the Weddington Middle School PTSO’s annual spring carnival fundraising event. BFF started 14 years ago providing an opportunity for our students, parents, families, and other community members to gather outside of school for a festive evening participating in FUN activities while also raising money for the school. The night is filled with music, carnival rides, games, food and more.

The money raised through BFF and other events throughout the year help support our Staff Appreciation events; Holiday Gift Cards, End of Year teacher gifts, in addition to many educational and technological needs for our students and other enhancements to our school.  For more information on where your donations have helped the PTSO support our school see our partnership page.  Let's make this BFF the best yet with your support.

WHAT HAPPENS AT BFF?

Upon entering the school you are greeted with an array of FUN activities sure to delight. The main hallway is usually filled with our BFF Sponsors, volunteers assisting with the event, and ticket sales. In addition, our WHS JRTOC members are encouraging friendly competitions with pull-ups, sit-ups, etc. The Gym boasts a friendly game of dodgeball or two and our Bus Lot is transformed into a carnival setting with rides, games, food vendors, and our DJ.

WHAT ABOUT THE BASKETS?

We can’t forget about all the wonderful raffle baskets that will be on display in the cafeteria the night of the event. These baskets contain donated items from the Charlotte community-at-large and of course through donations provided by our WMS parents. We usually have up to 25 wonderful baskets that everyone will have an opportunity to preview and win making this event even more FUN!

This year parents will have the option to purchase tickets for the baskets online and the PTSO volunteers will place your tickets in the corresponding baskets.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN! Check out our fabulous baskets and purchase your basket tickets online April 24th - April 29th.

IS THERE A COST TO ATTEND?

Yes. Tickets will be sold prior to and at the event for entry, food, rides and raffle basket entries.  There will also be an option to purchase wristbands that will bundle activities and save money. As we promote the event, there will be multiple opportunities to purchase tickets. More detailed information will be circulated in the coming months and our ticket purchases will be available on our events page.
